I saw this on someone's blog and thought I'd try it out. So, here's how it goes:

1- Go to Google
2- Type in your name and "likes to" all in quotations ("Marianne likes to")
3- Report the first ten things that come up

#1. Marianne likes to read and write poetry. Love to read, but poetry, not so much. I have, however, written a poem in my life, and my Christmas cards usually rhym, so I guess that much is true.
#2. Marianne likes to tell students how important doing the research is, and that all of her books are checked by experts. My preschoolers really don't care about how important doing the research is, or even what an expert is, so I don't think I've ever told them anything like this.
#3. Marianne likes to read and to explore the Washington, D.C. area. Okay, so reading is very popular for people with my name. And yes, one of the funnest vacations I ever had was to D.C.
#4. When Marianne likes to read and express her feelings, Elinor prefers be silent of his desires. This is refering to one of Jane Austin's novels. However, there was a typo calling Elinor a "him". But that applied a little better to my life. We might change "Elinor" to "Dan" and have a very true statement.
#5. Marianne likes to photograph people, but her interests also include landscapes, sunsets, animals and children. Actually, I think that most photos without people in them are a waste of time. More specifically, photos without Emma in them are a waste of time (not really, but look at my blog and you will see my photography passions).
#6. Marianne likes to exercise at the gym during off hours and is trying to compose music in order to get ahead professionally. Yes, if you call the corner of the storage room with the treadmill "the gym", and my little dabbles on guitar hero "composing." And my "off time" would be when Emma is watching a movie in the next room.
#7. Marianne likes to cook, and finds it quite frustrating that this is a dying art. Somewhat of a control freak, she objects to big business putting things in boxes. Kay, things in boxes have saved many a dinner at our house. But, cooking is pretty fun - especially if I'm making desserts.
#8. Marianne likes to involve the client in this process, talking about what she is seeing and asking ongoing permission to remove these energies.... I had to look into this one a little more, and apparently I'm a contemporary shaman. Nope.
