Happy Easter

Well, we hope everyone had a good Easter. We sure did. Emma learned the joy of Easter hunting. We had a hunt on friday night with our ward, and another on saturday with our condo complex. By Saturday, she was so quick at getting the eggs, she had a whole basket-full, and many kids only got a couple, so she walked around inspecting baskets and handing out eggs to those with empty ones. P.S. My camera ran out of batteries, so no pictures from those hunts (you decide if that's a good or bad thing).
The Easter bunny visited us, as well. Emma was really excited, but before she went to bed she told us to keep the Easter bunny out of her room. So I guess it's okay if he comes and leaves treats, as long as she isn't close to him.
Ask her what she got; she'll still tell you "a surprize" because that's what Dan and I prepped her for the night before. By the way, it's a dining room set for her little doll house from Christmas.
Apparently the Pences had a slightly different Easter bunny than the Humpherys. I guess he came and hid the eggs that they colored the day before. Now, I know this is a faily common tradition, but the Easter bunny did nothing of the sort at my house, and I didn't really care. So, when Dan wanted to do it, I thought I was just kind of humoring him, but Emma loved that as much or more than the little surprize in her basket.
She found all ten!!! And then Dan and Emma feasted on hard-boiled eggs for breakfast. And I stayed out of the room - hard-boiled eggs are gross!
A major part of our Easter tradition these past few years has been to take pictures of Emma in her Easter dress at the Gardens with the Easter lillies. And so, here they are. Enjoy!
Both of her grandma's and her mommy bought her some cute dresses, but this little nine dollar special was the one she wanted to wear (and if you know Emma, you don't interfere with her wardrobe choice). But, it's really darling against the bright green. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
Oh, I guess I'd better introduce you to "my sweetheart" the penguin. If you ask her what the penguin's name is, she says "E.I." (we've been helping her learn to spell her name, so I think she thinks she needs to spell it). But, when she actually refers to the penguin, she call her "my sweetheart." Where's my sweetheart? Can my sweetheart come? Let's let my sweetheart choose the night-time song. I guess since we can't have kids, we'll have to make due with a stuffed penguin.
Does anyone know how to get a three-year-old to smile naturally? Help. Please.
This one's not too bad. It seems like we either get no teeth, or all the teeth!

And here is my sweetheart, my little angel. Let me just take one quick minute to share my conviction that I know that Christ atoned, died, and rose again. And He did it for us, because he loves us. And I know that we will be with our families again.
What an amazing holiday Easter is!
This last picture is for grandma H. We love the dress. And what's an outfit if there's no accessories? Don't you love the fancy nancy shoes? Plus, the carefully posed train, full of littlest pet shops. Oh, and a Jesus action figure, and a Doctor Dan little people. Ha Ha.
