Ring out the Old, Bring in the New

Well, we've officially made the move. We've left our home in the Village and moved to a new home. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of parties, celebrations, and mourning about saying goodbye. By the way, Dan's graduation will be it's own post, so though that is the reason for all the changes, this post will have nothing about it.
One last visit to the zoo with our bestest buddies Jackson and Creighton, and Tanner. Too bad I didn't get any cute shots of these kids' faces (I'm still waiting for some to be e-mailed to me), but I thought this shot was adorable. Emma loves to play house with these boys. Jackson is the daddy, Emma is the mommy and Creighton is the baby. I tell her that she needs to remember this and make sure she always "plays house" with a boy so cute and sweet as Jackson! We had one last hoorah with our camping buddies up at Mahoney State Park. Here are two little bugs in a rug. It was really cold in the morning, so these girls stayed by the fire all bundled together.

Emma and Gracie riding a horsey.
Looks like fun, huh?
We rode on some paddle boats for a while. Emma and Dan collected lots of snail shells - aka, seashells.
There was lots of wind in the morning as well, so we got some good kite flying in. That was by far the best spot for kite flying we've seen.

Of course, the big playground was a hit - for both my kids.
Emma sure loves camping!!!
And then, it was time to leave. We packed up our house in record time, and purposefully left during church to avoid a scene (me bawling my eyes out). We did pretty good. But it was one of the hardest things I've done to say goodbye.
We only had one casualty during the whole move. Dan's suitcase got stuck under my dad's trailer and dragged about a hundred feet. The suit and case were not salvagable. But, nothing else was harmed. Not too bad, I'd say.

Moving is so sad! I hope your new home is fun! Too bad for Dan's suit though...but I'd be happy if it were my stuff, then I would get to buy new clothes! =)
