What a wonderful Christmas we had this year!! So many exciting things happened, we practically celebrated through all of December. One significant thing this year: Dan was on call, so we had to be at home the whole week around Christmas. It was crazy, and a lot of people ended up with emergencies. He was gone for our big dinner on Christmas day and missed some presents. He got called in in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve as well. Because we needed to be home, we also ended up having two big Christmas dinners (one with each family) and did all presents, and Santa at our house. This is the first time we've done it all at home, and I now realize just how much work Christmas is. Thanks to mom for all the years she has been able to pull it off without me ever realizing how stressful it can be!

On Christmas Eve, my family and the cousins came over for dinner. We then got some new jammies. So cozy! Emma's were returned the next day because they were too small (sad).

We always act out the nativity in our family. Addie was Mary, Gavin was Joseph, Livvy was a beautiful shepherd, Emma was the happiest angel ever, and little Seth was the most adorable, chunky baby Jesus you will ever see!

The kids all knelt around his car seat and gooed at him and kissed him and rocked him and he smiled and smiled. It was so tender!

We also do the nativity with my Lowe side of the family. This party actually happened a few days later, but I stuck the picture in here. Here are my grandma and grandpa with their great grand kids. What a wild bunch!

Seth just loved the Christmas tree! Everyone has been warning me about next year - trust me, people, I know that the little 18 month old is going to tear my tree apart. And, yes, I will spend this year preparing myself.

He also loved the sparkly bows and crinkly wrapping paper.

And finally Christmas came! Emma was thrilled with her presents. And was double thrilled to have Seth's to "help" open as well.

Seth got a haul from Santa - a stocking full of baby food!

Emma had a barbie Christmas this year, including all four of the Barbie Musketeers - one from Santa, one from G&G P, one from G&G H, and one from mom and dad.

She hasn't taken her dress off since Christmas. And check out the doll house!!! I made it! Ha ha. My dad made it, and I helped. I sanded a lot. But, it was a fun project, and turned out so good. It has already provided hours of fun. She calls it her barbie castle.

This is Seth's presents from mom and dad and Santa.

And G&G P got him some fun stuff. (G&G H did, too, but I was way unorganized the day they came because it was the day we blessed Seth. Oh well, I guess it won't go down into blog history).

Merry Christmas from a couple of happy kids!
