Boring!!!

Yes, it's a boring post, but I am terrible about remembering my camera, so there are no pictures for this one!

Last weekend was mother's day. I usually get to go on a mini-shopping spree, with husband in tow to tell me how beautiful I am (he's a good sport). But, this year, the week before mother's day, my lovely van broke down. I took it to the repair shop, and the news was not good. Over four thousand dollars to get it running safely. So, we took a quick trip down to the Kia dealership and bought ourselves a brand-new 2010 Kia Forte! It's awesome, and we are so proud of our very first investment.

So, new car in hand, or under foot, we were ready for an adventure. Low and behold, the opportunity was waiting the day after Mother's Day. Dan had an interview in Great Falls, Montana with a dentist looking for an associate. So, we left our kids with our parents and drove up to Montana on Mother's Day. The dentist was so nice and put us up in an amazing suite overlooking the Missouri River for two nights. The weather was perfect and I got to spend the day while he was at the interview reading, shopping and exercising all by myself (yes, a mother's best fantasy - watch Date Night here). We had tons of fun eating out, driving in the car, and having a wonderful get away.

And the scoop on Montana? Well, it's cold (but not too much colder than Cache Valley) and it's very rural (you can drive for miles and see no one) and it's in the middle of hunting/fishing/sportsmans paradise (not my cup of tea). But it's beautiful, and the people were very nice, and Dan really liked the practice. So, after he is able to go over the paperwork, it looks like he'll be signing on, and we'll be moving to Great Falls in July.

I'm sad. I had gotten used to the idea of being near our family here in Utah. But, it's only an 8 hour drive from Logan, which is the same distance that St George is, and the drive was rather pleasant and easy. And honestly, I know that we will be happy wherever we go, as long as we're together! It's going to be great.
