Yes, Emma got a new bike.
Much to his dismay, Seth did not. He's still stuck pushing this little car around and chasing Emma on her bike. Give it some time, little guy.
Okay, so this is how it happened. We had been debating about getting her a new bike for quite a while. Her knees were hitting her handlebars, and she had to peddle an awful lot on her little 12-inch bike to get anywhere.
But, she had been begging for a new scooter for a while. She had a little three-wheeled one, but insisted that she was "ready for a scooter with one wheel in the front and one wheel in the back."
She wanted it so bad that we decided to make her little bike last, and got her the razor. (I don't have any pictures, but we got one for Dan, too, and now the two of them can be found out in the driveway all evening doing jumps, races and just aimlessly scooting around - it's pretty amusing).
Well, about three days after we got the razor, this happened. A huge hole, worn right through the tire and inner tube.
Rather than fix it, we opted to just get the bike we knew she needed. So, here she is, riding in style on her brand-new bike.
Meanwhile, Seth has found something very fun to do outside. We have frogs like crazy! Especially after it rains. He likes to chase them around and try to grab them.
Oh, and one last note: he's been trimmed. I put it off for so long, but I finally got one too many comments on his "afro" so I finally let Dan take the clippers to it. It turned out great, and just gets curlier and curlier.
