Happy happy birthday to a 5-year old!
Emma's birthday was a few weeks ago, and we partied it up in style! She had a wonderful day.
I'm not the best with the camera, so there are no pictures from our lunch date. A few days before her birthday, I asked her what she wanted to do since she wasn't having a party. I was thinking along the lines of miniature golfing, bowling or some other activity. But, she said, "what we do on special days: go the Old McDonald's." So, we went to "Old McDonald's" and she got a Happy Meal and the kids played on the play-place.
I let her open a few presents in the morning when she woke up, but then I decided to torture her and make her wait on her big present, and G&G H's because they went with the big one, and one other until daddy got home. Finally, as soon as he walked in the door, she ran over and tore it open. Her "big" present was an 18-inch American Girl-like (the Target brand) doll. We call it her "big girl doll." She got lots of fun outfits and fun things to go with her. Here she is with her whole pile of loot.
Dresses as Belle with her dolly. This one is from mom and dad.
Then, grandma H had fun finding some matching dress-ups and doll clothes. Here is "what she always wanted" dressed as a bride.
And a beautiful Rapunzel.
And matching jammies (well, both pink anyway). I found this night-gown on the disney store online for a great price. It's awesome!
Happy Birthday Emma!!! You're the sweetest munchkin around.

Oh how cute is little Emma! Lily, I think, is a tom-boy...she hates dressing up unless it's a pirate or ninja. Love the cake!
