Fall Break

Dan's fall break was a week ago, and we celebrated being free for a day by going to the local pumpkin patch. We had been there once before when we first moved here, but Emma was really tiny, so we didn't love it. Let me tell you, it was a lot funner with a toddler who runs around and wants to try and figure out everything.

Silly kids in a haunted house.

The classic pumpkin patch shot. Emma didn't get that excited about the "pumpins," but when grandma and grandpa brought us some huge pumpkins from Utah, she was thrilled. She still gets up each day and has to go outside and look at them, and she even asks to eat lunch with the pumpkins.
This was by far the funnest thing at the pumpkin patch. They big pillows of air burried under the ground. So,p retty much a gigantic trampoline. Awesome!
This is our neighbor John Lee and son Keoni taking Emma on a ride on the go-karts. They were stinking hard to pedal, so we didn't actually ride them that much.
We had been talking up a pony ride for quite a while (see earlier post about the river city roundup). So, when we found these ponies, we were so excited to let her ride. So, we go over to them and watch for a minute, and Emma can hardly wait. But then, as they ponies stop to let her get on, the one standing right in front of her pees all over. And it was about a gallon of pee, like a river all over. She was pretty traumatized, and didn't want to go near them after that. Here is Dan trying to reassure her that she wasn't going to get peed on if she rode the pony.
And yes, she finally got on and loved it. And luckily, her pony was able to hold it's bladder until she was done riding.

That is so cute! I'm glad Emma was able to ride a pony! Too bad it had to show her it's true colors first. What a fun day! Isn't it wonderful when the husbands have a day off to join you. It makes outings a lot more fun!

I love that rocking chair. I love it too when husbands can join in on outings.

What a blast! Vala's looks even better than it did a couple years ago, and what great weather you had! I'm glad Emma got to ride her pony.
