We had an awesome Halloween. It is seriously the perfect holiday for the girl who spends 99% of her time in some dress-up or another. But before we get into the pictures, let's start with a multiple choice quiz. Here's the question:
What was Emma for Halloween this year?
A. A snow princess.
B. A butterfly fairy princess.
C. Cinderella
Or
D. All of the above.
The answer is all of the above, of course.
The answer is all of the above, of course.
And here is the rundown of our holiday.
On wednesday, we got to go to daddy's school to trick-or-treat around the clinic. On this day, she was Cinderella, complete with gloves and crown. She got the hang of trick-or-treating really quick, but the little princess was always sure to add a "thank you soooo much," to every treat she got. Here is Cinderella with our Roring friends, Keoni and Lilly, dressed as Peter Pan and Tiger Lilly.
On Thursday, we had a party at preschool. All of my little students got to wear their costumes, and they looked so cute! Preschoolers love to dress up. Again, on this day, Emma chose her Cinderella costume, but it was more of default than a choice - we woke up late and she happened to find cinderella first.
Also on Thursday, she had a party at dancing, and so she dressed as a butterfly fairy princess, but I only had one picture, and it's above, so here is another preschool picture.
On Friday, the real Halloween day, the botanical gardens had a Halloween party specifically for the residents of Village Green. They had little crafts for them, and some treats, and a little refreshment. The gardens are always so nice to the residents of Village Green. We appreciate it so much. Here is Emma at the party with her best buddy Gracie. Oh, by the way, Emma chose Cinderella again, because Halloween ended up being about 75 degrees, and Cinderella was kind of cool. It was so nice to not have to bundle up.
And here is "bracie's hutsen", or Gracie's Hudson, who Emma just can't get enough of. The little monster has bright red hair underneath his hat, and is just the cutest, and sweetest thing.

And here we are at the actual Halloween. After a dinner-in-a-pumkin (new tradition, courtesy of the Rorings) she got all dressed up again, and Dan took her trick-or-treating. Now, if you know Dan, you know he is very thorough in everything he does. After her dragged her meticulously up one side of Village Green, she finally refused to keep walking, and they came home, with more candy than a three year old should eat in a year. She spent the rest of the night on the porch handing out candy. She chose each peice that went in the kids bags, and when they had a costume she really liked, they got two peices (which means, anyone in a pretty dress got two). Whenever someone would pass by her, she would yell "Do you want some tandy? Tome here".
Here she is showing off our jack-o-lantern. Great shot, huh? Can you believe I didn't get another one?
And here is one last picture of Emma with our little Emily. We have been tending Emily a few days per week. She is about 21 months old, and is a little doll. Emma cannot get enough of having a little person around to play with. And here they are, both dressed as "Cindleya".

What a fun Halloween! I think that Emma and I need to spend more time together...we are more alike than I thought. Dinner in a pumpkin is my favorite! I'm glad someone else enjoys that recipe...you need to tell Mitch it's good, he might believe you, he definitely doesn't believe me. Loved all of the pictures!
Wow, talk about having a little girl to dress up! You have that... on steroids! Awesome, love all the costumes, looks like a fabulous Halloween.
Absolutely Adorable!! She is just about the cutest thing ever! I love all of her costumes. Why do you need to choose just one when you can have four! Or five!!
