Pumpkin Pie Cake

This is an amazing variation on pumpkin pie, that I definently prefer over the traditional. And since making pie crusts is the worst part of Thanksgiving (and no, I can't stand to use the pre-made kind) this is a new favorite. A few of you have asked for the the recipe, so here it is:


Combine and press into a greased 9x13 pan:
1 yellow cake mix (reserve one cup)
1 stick soft margarine
1 egg

Mix together, then pour over unbaked crust:
1 regular can pumpkin
make recipe on can for pumpkin pie

Sprinkle over:
1 cup cake mix
1/2 cup sugar
1 t cinnamon
3T margarine, cut in

Bake at 350 for 60-70 minutes
