There's Something Fishy Going on Around Here

Emma started her first day of swimming lessons today. She loved it! And so did Seth (more on this, and why he is shirtless later).

This really is a picture of Emma swimming. They made me put her in the first level, though I suspected she would be a little ahead of the other kids. While the teacher was having them take turns blowing bubbles under the water, Emma was diving in and swimming around. After the lesson was over, she said "why didn't they teach me to swim?" Good question. I didn't have the heart to tell her it would probably be a few years before she's cruizing along with the front crawl.
It took me about two seconds to realize Seth was not going to sit quietly and watch his sister swim. So, after trying to keep him away for a minute, I decided not to fight a losing battle, and I set him free in the zero depth area. He loved it! He spent the whole 30 minutes splashing around. I had to restrain him constantly from going in too deep.
Next time I'll bring him in his swimming suit, too. Yay! Swimming is fun!

Fighting kids that age about going into the pool is no fun. Been there, done that, and did exactly what you did.
