First People Buffalo Jump

Dan had his first Monday off today. He's going to be working four-day weeks, with Mondays off. We were excited to be able to spend another day visiting a local attraction here in Great Falls. About 15 miles south of the city is a tall bluff that Native Americans used to drive buffalo up and then scare them over the cliff-side edge. Apparently it was used for thousands of years, and thousands of buffalo went over the edge.

Emma and Seth got to play in a tee-pee (it felt weird to type that word). Emma decided she likes having a house and bed. I'm not sure what Seth decided, except that it was lots of fun.
We found a baby buffalo, and both the kids loved it. Seth sat there and screamed at it, like he was on a roller coaster.
And Emma oh-ed and ah-ed, and wanted to pet it. It really was darling. And then we learned how valuable the skin of an unborn buffalo baby is just few signs down. How fun.

It looks like a beautiful hike!! And I love your drive way and not busy street!! That truly is awesome for little bikers! I also love that Dan has a four day work week. Leaves lots of time for "sploring!!"
