New Home, Here We Come!

So we made it. We are officially Montana residents. We moved in on the evening of July 4th. It was a pretty exciting time to move in, as Montana allows any kind of firework to be shot off by the public so the air was filled with fireworks. Plus, the city was in the middle of their fireworks show along the river. So it was a spectacular show welcoming us to our new home.

We love our new house, and the only thing that could be better is if we actually owned it. But for now, renting is the way to go. We've been singing "some day we'll own a home" to the tune of Snow White's "some day my prince will come" a lot lately. All in time, though. I was going to take a bunch of pictures and post them, but then decided that I didn't want to do that on my still public blog, so if you want to see our home, you have to come visit us. Our small town has lots to offer. Like Glacier Nat Park just an hour away.

When we lived in Omaha, we lived right next to the Missouri river, and loved it. Coincidently, we are right on the Missouri river again. It flows north in Montana - random, right? Anyways, the river runs right through the middle of the city, and they have put up nice biking paths along both sides of the river. We were excited to try it out, and went out on our first Saturday here.

The biking path we choose was by Giant Springs Park. It's the largest spring in North America. It flows almost immediately into the river, but keeps is blueish hue for a while before it mixes.

Emma rode her bike for most of the ride. She made it about four miles before we stashed her bike on the side of the trail and put her in the trailer. I thought that was amazing, as she is riding her 12 inch bike still. Her legs we pumping like crazy.
Our portion of the Missouri has a serious of waterfalls in it. We made it to two on this trip. They are, in my opinion, spoiled by the dams built above them. But, electricity is electricity (I say as my AC is blasting), so I can't complain too much. Here's the man with his kids next to Rainbow Falls.
And a random shot of my awesome bike. It's a rusted out wal-mart special. With stylin' dish towels as padding on the handle bars. Cool.
Seth next to Horseshoe falls, with Rainbow falls in the distance.
Emma by Horseshoe falls.
The cuties by Horseshoe Falls.
