There were horses and ponies galore at the parade, but this pretty pink my little pony was Emma's favorite by far.

River City Roundup
The Omaha River City Roundup was this past weekend. There was a parade on Saturday morning, then a rodeo and concert that night. We didn't go to the the rodeo, but there were some free events that day that we went to. The most exciting was the stock show. We got to see some farm animals, and even nearly got mauled by a pig! What fun.

There were tiny little piglets that still had their eyes closed and their umbilicle cords hanging off. They were just adorable. Emma and I could not get enough.
She petted the sheep.
And the cows.
And the bunniess.
We told her she might be able to ride a horse, thinking they might have a little area that we could pay for a ride on. But, there was no such thing. So, we found this little barrel horse and told her this was the ride. She thought it was pretty exciting.

Give that Emma a BIG squeeze from her grandma!!! See you soon!
That looks like so much fun! I can't believe you saw tiny piglets with their umbilical cords on. I think animals bring out the best in kids!
