Has it really been two weeks since we've taken Seth home already? Time flies.

He has changed so much in the past two weeks. He is so very alert, and loves to look at our faces. His skin has also darkened quite a bit. He has also put on quite a bit a weight. What a beautiful, healthy little boy.

His two week check was yesterday, and weighed in at 7 lbs, 15 oz. That means he's gain almost a pound over his birth weight. Wow. We may be in for a big boy.

At his two week check, he was also circumsized. We have seen a new side of Seth last night and today. The poor guy is pretty miserable.

We have also seen a new side to this mom, too. Dan started his residency yesterday, and so I wa all alone for the first time. Then, we went to the doctor, then Seth didn't sleep much, and then I was at my wits end today. But, this time doesn't last, does it. How precious is the little guy?
Is that a double chin there?

Some things don't change, though, and that is the way he is adored by his family. His big sis won't miss a chance to hold him "all by her self."

Teenie little guy getting out of his first real tubby. He loves to have all that dark hair scrubbed. But the rest isn't very fun.

And here, an intense game of ponies just wore the poor guy out.

Marianne, my name is Dorothy. Your mom was one of my students, and we have a 22-year-old daughter who was adopted. I think your mom has talked to you about me. One story I forgot to tell your mom about Hannah (my daughter) is that when she was four or so, she decided that she had been born white and had gotten darker. No, we assured her that she had been born dark, but she wasn't convinced. So we had to get out the pictures to show her that, indeed, she was born dark and we loved her just that way! So cute! I hope you don't mind that your mom gave me a link to your blog. It brings back so many wonderful memories! Stay in touch, and I'll keep checking pictures of that beautiful Seth - and his delightful, pony-loving big sister! :)
