Our Halloween has been very fun this year. As Halloween is on Sunday this year, and our ward party was last night, our celebrations are mostly over.
Our holiday began, as always, with the carving of the pumpkins.
They turned out pretty good.
Seth was in bed while we carved, but he was really excited the next day.
And Emma, little Emma, was terrified of the fire in the candle. She's had a few fire drills and lessons about fire at school, and they don't realize it, but she's a bit traumatized. Throw in a father who ignites the lighter and runs after her, and she was hysterical. Poor girl.
On Friday, we headed to our big ward dinner and trunk-or-treat, and Dan and I actually dressed up!
Here's the little baby pirate. What a precious little buckaneer!
Being threatened by Emma's sword, and not happy about it.
He was in a good mood for posing. He kept standing against the wall and smiling so cute.
And the little pirate princess.
We kept trying to get her to say "arrr, give me some candy," but she kept saying "ar-de-ar-ar, it's wonderful to see you!" in a very polite voice. She just can't pull off the mean pirate for the life of her.
Pretty excited about the treats at the end of the night!
But so tired, we just about passed out.
