Seth loves his books. I've given up on even putting them away during the day. They stay out in a big, messy pile in the middle of the hallway as long as he's awake. He always wants to look at them, and is especially happy when someone will sit down and read to him. A few days ago, it had been quiet for a while, and I realized I didn't know where he was. I looked around, imagining all the things he could be into (toilet paper, flour, dish soap...) and finally found him in my closet. He had shut the door, climbed in the basket, and was happily reading a book.
I took a picture, called Dan in, and Emma soon realized something was going on. Go ahead, big sis, climb right in. Seth doesn't mind at all.
Sweetie pies.
And one last shout out about our day-to-day goings. Have I mentioned how proud I am of Dan? He gets a lot of guff about his cushy job. Four day work-weeks are just about anyone's dream. But, it's intense work, and by Friday (when he gets home at 2:30) he's ready to pass out. And most day, he does. It's especially tenter how he's cradling the remote control. But actually, besides working so hard, he also does so well with our kids. He reads to them, plays with them, and is always helping and teaching them. He's number one!!!
