Happy Yeaster!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

We had a wonderful Easter this year in Cache Valley with our family. It was so much fun to spend a beautiful weekend with the people we love. We got to do lots of fun Easter things. We got to go to the big Lowe Easter Hunt. Emma was sure excited!

And Seth picked up a few pieces of candy.
Got daddy to open one for him,
And parked it in the baby swing and let the fun unfold around him.
The next day was Easter Sunday.
We got all dressed up and pretty and headed off to church with grandma (which, honestly, was a waste, because Seth spent the entire meeting in the hallway).
At least they looked darling, right?
Finally, after three days of exhausting fun, we drove home. Seth was so tired, he fell right to sleep. Why the hands? I have no idea, but he slept like this for almost and hour.
Little Emma hates the long drives. But, when you are in your own little fantasy world for most of your day, being strapped into a car really doesn't matter too much. She stayed very entertained with her toys. Oh, and P.S. for those who spend much time traveling in a car: we printed a very simple map up for Emma, and she loved tracking our progress as we passed each town. And bonus, we didn't have to answer the dreaded "are we there yet?", because she always knew right where we were!
Ahh, home sweet home. So nice to be back to our lovely little paradise, even though it's not nearly as green here as it was in Logan. The kids slept great last night, and woke up so happy, we had to take a few more Easter shots in their matching spring outfits, with the pillow pets the Easter Bunny brought to grandma's house.
Seth is a little excited about his train and baby monkey.
We love Easter. And with Dan's dad's memory still so clear and sweet, we have a special reason to rejoice in the holiday. We are excited to see grandpa again, and spent lots of time talking about him so that our kids are sure to know that we know that Christ lived again on the third day, and because of His sacrifice and because of the Atonement, we will see all who we love again someday.
