The circus came to town last week. And since, it seems, we have stepped into a little country town that seems to enjoy entertainment from the 40's, we just had to go. It was a fun show, including tigers, tight-rope walkers, clowns and more. It was cute to see the kids get so excited with the tricks and shows.
Of course, a huge part of the show was them trying to sell us stuff. We did get some yummy cotton candy, but we put our foot down when Emma begged to get her face painted. It was $10, and I told her I'd go buy her some face paints when we got home instead of spending the money on something that will only last a day. She held me to it, and for $1.99, we found her some face paints. And boy, has she had fun!!!
She will not let anyone help with her art work. The clown face turned out pretty good.
This tiger/fairy/clown face was not quite so good (though Emma would disagree with that).
As of yet, she has asked before painting Seth's face, and received a big "NO" each time. I have a feeling that one of these times, she'll just go ahead and do it. That will be interesting.
